Ettimadai is a panchayat town in Coimbatore district in the state of Tamil Nadu, India.

Ettimadai is located in Coimbatore on the palghat highway. Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham and amrita school of business and amrita school of information technology and also amrita school of communication of amrita university is located here. various V.V.I.P's like Dr. A.P.J.Abdul kalam and Dr.madhavan nair have visited this university. It has a railway station. All passegenr trains from Coimbtore to palghat stop here.As of 2001^[update] India census^[1], Ettimadai had a population of 7887. Males constitute 51% of the population and females 49%. Ettimadai has an average literacy rate of 56%, lower than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 65%, and female literacy is 46%. In Ettimadai, 13% of the population is under 6 years of age.This place is approximately 21km from coimbatore and 34 km from palghat. Bus 96 connects this place with Gandhipuram(bus stand) and Valayaru.
