Esmeralda may refer to one of several ships in Spanish Navy history:

  • Esmeralda, launched in Mahón in 1791, was a sail frigate captured by Chile in 1820.

Esmeralda may refer to one of several ships in Chilean Navy history:

  • Esmeralda, a sail frigate captured from Spain in 1820 during the War of Independence.
  • Esmeralda, launched in 1855, was a wooden steam corvette sunk during the War of the Pacific.
  • Cruiser Esmeralda, launched in 1883, purchased by Japan in 1894 and renamed Izumi.
  • Cruiser Esmeralda, launched in 1895.
  • Esmeralda, launched in 1944, was a River-class frigate originally in the service of the Canadian Navy as HMCS Glace Bay.
  • Training ship Esmeralda (BE-43), launched in 1953, is a steel-hulled four-masted barquentine tall ship in the Chilean Navy, it is a symbol of the Chilean navy and it's nicknamed the "White Lady". According to recent testimonies, it was used for a few days as a detention center during 1973. Despite that fact it is still the most known and beloved ship of the navy.
