Eskayef Bangladesh Limited was formed in 2000 after a restructuring of SmithKline & French in Bangladesh. The company is engaged in the manufacture and marketing of therapeutic drugs, bulk pellets and animal health and nutrition products. Sales in 2006 were approximately 60 million US dollars.

Eskayef’s manufacturing facility is accredited by UK MHRA (United Kingdom Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency). It describes its dedicated cephalosporin plant as the top manufacturing facility in the Bangladesh pharmaceutical industry.

In 2005, Eskayef began exporting bulk pellets and finished products to Asia, Africa, and Central America and is in the process of exporting to European countries. The company also has ties with the eye-care company Allergan Inc. of Ireland.
