Eryn Bulmer Barrett (born August 1, 1976 in Edmonton, Alberta) is a female diver from Canada , who won the gold medal in the Women's 3m Springboard at the 1999 Pan American Games. She represented her native country at two Summer Olympics: 1996 and 2000. Considered to be the Canadian Amateur Diving Association - Alberta Section' s most successful athlete to date, Bulmer is a twelve-time national champion, and has won 21 international medals. She is the 1998 Commonwealth Games gold medallist, the 1999 Pan American Games Champion, and has finished 2nd and 3rd overall in the 1999 and 2000 FINA Grand Prix circuit. Her gold medal at the 1997 FINA World Cup was the first Canadian gold medal performance at a major international meet – since Sylvie Bernier at the 1984 Summer Olympics. In recognition of her accomplishments, Bulmer has also received the 1997 and 1998 Aquatic Federation of Canada, Female Athlete of the Year. [edit] References
