Eric Bennett is an Australian former rugby league footballer of the 1940s. Hailing from The Central West region of New South Wales, he played at centre and five-eighth for the Western Suburbs Magpies in the New South Wales Rugby Football League premiership. Bennett played over 100 games for the Magpies from 1941 to 1949, captaining the team to the 1948 season premiership. Hall of Famer Keith Holman has credited Bennett, who helped him sign with Wests, as being a great influence on his career.
