Eric Appel (August 13, 1980 - present) is a writer and director currently residing in Los Angeles, California. He has written for MTV's Human Giant, The Andy Milonakis Show and Crank Yankers. Eric grew up in Endicott, New York. After high school, he attended and graduated from the Art Institute of Pittsburgh in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania with a degree in Computer Animation. While there, he got involved with the long running improv comedy show at the University of Pittsburgh, Friday Nite Improvs. After college, Eric moved to New York City to pursue a career in comedy and trained at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater. Eric also had a show on the Turner Network's (now defunct) comedy website, Super Deluxe, called "The Subconscious Channel." The premise was that scientists had kidnapped Eric and stolen his brain, extracting its "deepest and dumbest thoughts," and using them to fuel a television network. Eric is currently married to Johanna Parker Appel, and is a writer and director at Will Ferrell and Adam McKay's comedy website, Funny or Die. [edit] External links
