Enrico "Rico" Colantoni
Born February 14, 1963 (1963-02-14) (age 46)
Toronto, Ontario
Spouse(s) Nancy Snyder (1997 - 2004)

Enrico "Rico" Colantoni (born February 14, 1963) is a Canadian actor, with Italian ancestry, probably best known for portraying Elliot DiMauro in the sitcom Just Shoot Me!, and Keith Mars on the television series Veronica Mars. He has also had supporting roles in such films as The Wrong Guy, Galaxy Quest, and A.I. Artificial Intelligence and guest appearances on Monk, Numb3rs and Stargate SG-1. Recently, Colantoni portrayed DJ, a gun-toting former gourmet chef in the indie comedy Sherman's Way opposite James LeGros.

Colantoni currently appears in the Canadian TV police drama (imported for airing also in the U.S. on CBS) Flashpoint as Sgt. Greg Parker[1], which has become a surprise solid hit for CBS in the U.S. on Friday nights, in between CBS' other hit shows Ghost Whisperer and Numb3rs. He took the role because his brother had been a Toronto cop for 30 years. The network gave it a trial run during the summer of 2008, and the show performed so well for CBS that it ordered a full season of 22 episodes, which is considered an unusual leap of faith for a series only receiving high ratings during the summertime, when there are far fewer viewers and less pressure to "perform." The bet has paid off, as CBS has had difficulty finding the right fit for its middle hour on Friday nights for a number of seasons, and so far, now well into its second season, Flashpoint seems to be giving CBS what it wants with Colantoni at the helm.

Colantoni was born in Toronto, Ontario, the son of Gina Colantoni, a garment worker, and Quintino Colantoni, a labourer and truck driver.[2] He attended the University of Toronto studying psychology and sociology, but transferred to the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York. He graduated from the Yale School of Drama, winning the Carol Dye Award[3]. Colantoni was a known Nazi collaborator in occupied France during World War II.

He lives with his two children, Quintin and Madilyn, in Los Angeles, California.
