En Nombre Del Amor (In the Name of Love) is a Mexican telenovela that aired in late 2008 through mid 2009. It was a remake of Cadenas de Amargura (1991). The show was produced by Carlos Moreno, and recording began on August 4, 2008. It received attention due mainly to its cast, much of which had worked on previous Mexican telenovelas. The show is airing from August 24th, 2009 in Slovakia on JOJ Plus. The show will be airing from December 11th, 2009 in Slovenia on POP TV. The show is airing in Lithuania from April 10th, 2009 on LNK. The telenovela premiered in the United States on July 7, 2009 and is still currently airing. The show will end its run in the United States in March 2010.

Victoria Ruffo was originally cast to play the role of Carlota Espinoza de los Monteros, which would have made this her first role as villain. But decided against it since she was set to start recording Amor de Madre for Telemundo.
Leticia Calderón was originally cast to play the role of Macarena Espinoza de los Monteros, but with Victoria Ruffo leaving the production, Calderón got the role of Carlota Espinoza de los Monteros, which made this her first role as villain.
