The division of Algester is an electoral division in the Queensland Legislative Assembly in the state of Queensland, Australia. This electorate was created at the 1999 redistribution from the former electorate of Archerfield, and was contested for the first time at the 2001 state election.

It is located in south-western Greater Brisbane and includes the suburbs of Acacia Ridge, Algester, Parkinson, Calamvale, Forest Lake and Sunnybank Hills, with parts of Coopers Plains and Inala. It is a mixture of established suburbs such as Acacia Ridge with newer areas like Forest Lake and Calamvale.

Algester has been a safe seat for the Australian Labor Party ever since its inception. It was won for the first time in 2001 by Karen Struthers, the incumbent ALP MP for abolished Archerfield. She was comfortably re-elected in 2004 and 2006, and has never fallen below 60% of the primary vote in any of her three campaigns for the seat. Struthers currently serves as Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister for Health in the Bligh government.
