Economic and Environmental Studies is an international scientific journal on the field of economics, environment and sustainable development, with the focus on Eastern Europe. With the field of economics it belongs to the new institutional economics.^[1]

The journal is published by the University of Opole and had its first issue in 2001. Editors are among others Joost Platje, Janusz Słodczyk and Walter Leal Filho.^[2]
