The Extreme Championship Wrestling (ECW) World Tag Team Championship was the tag team championship contested in Eastern Championship Wrestling and Extreme Championship Wrestling between June 1992 and April 2001.

The Eastern Championship Wrestling Tag Team Championship^[1] came into existence in June 23, 1992 when the Super Destroyers won a tournament. In September 1994, ECW left the National Wrestling Alliance, and was renamed Extreme Championship Wrestling. The title was then known as the Extreme Championship Wrestling World Tag Team Championship. The title was contested under this name until ECW declared bankruptcy in April 2001. Soon after the relaunch of ECW and to coincide with the ECW debut of La Resistance, Dusty Rhodes commissioned a new set of tag titles. However Rene Dupree was released due to a Wellness Policy Violation and the titles were never acknowledge on television.
