Dwayne J. Pollok (born November 12, 1980 in San Antonio, Texas) is a right-handed pitcher in Minor League Baseball who pitches for the Fort Worth Cats (American Association) .

Pollok attended East Central High School in San Antonio, where he lettered for three years in football and baseball. He was the starting quarterback on the football team, which won two district championships. In baseball, he was All-District, All-City and All-State in 1998 when he went 10-2 with a 2.98 ERA and hit .444 with 12 home runs as his team advanced to the regional quarterfinal game.[1] He pitched for Texas A&M University in college, becoming a mainstay of their bullpen.

He was drafted by the Chicago White Sox in the 27th round of the 2003 MLB draft and signed with the Sox on June 5, 2003. After a brief stint with the Bristol White Sox in the rookie leagues, he was promoted to the Single-A Winston-Salem Warthogs.

in 2004, Pollok led the Carolina League with 38 saves and earned a spot on the All-Star team. In 58 appearances, he recorded a 2-4 record and a 3.28 ERA.[2] Baseball America selected him as having the "best slider" in the White Sox organization.[3]

He spent the 2005 & 2006 seasons with the Double-A Birmingham Barons, where he continued to be a solid reliever out of the bullpen.

In 2007, he made the jump to Triple-A with the Charlotte Knights [4] before the White Sox traded him on May 30 to the Los Angeles Dodgers for infielder Tomas Perez.[5] Assigned to the Las Vegas 51s, he continued to pitch out of the bullpen, and also made his first professional start. In 2009, he pitched for the Dodgers new AAA affiliate, the Albuquerque Isotopes. Pollok went 3-4 with a 6.01 ERA with Albuquerque, making 6 starts and 30 relief appearances.
