Dubrovnik Airport (IATA: DBVICAO: LDDU), also referred to as Čilipi Airport, is the international airport of Dubrovnik, Croatia. The airport is located approximately 15.5 km[1] (9.5 mi) from Dubrovnik city center, near the suburb of Čilipi. Dubrovnik Airlines is based at the Dubrovnik airport.

In 2008, DBV served 1,191,474 passengers and saw 14,365 takeoffs and landings.

Dubrovnik Airport handled 1,143,168 passengers in 2007. This was an increase of 22,715 or 2% over the previous year, a smaller increase compared to previous years. However, Dubrovnik Airport predicted an increase of 12% for 2008.

In 1987 Dubrovnik Airport handled 1.5 million passengers and 2500 tons of cargo, making 1987 year the busiest thus far. Dubrovnik is expected to hit those figures in 2010.

A new 36,500 square metres (392,883 sq ft) terminal with four jet bridges is under construction; the new terminal will have a projected annual capacity of 3.5 million passengers. Further expansion is planned after 2011. T

The terminal once completed will be the largest in Croatia. Future airport plans call for an extensive commercial zone and a large four-star airport hotel, and long-term plans call for a new runway and the conversion of the existing runway in to a taxiway.

The Civil Director of the airport, since the independence of Croatia is Tonći Peović, transit director is Božo Perak, which is also in their functions since the war, a step function in the post after serving as a gardener for years in the area, is expected to pass to act as general manager following the relocation Tonći Peović the Zagreb airport.
