[edit] Miscellaneous - "Hey Man, Nice Shot", arguably Filter's most well-known song, shares an identical guitar riff with the Stabbing Westward song "Ungod" from the album of the same name, which was released a year prior to Filter's Short Bus. Both bands had utilized the talent of Stuart Zechman, the guitarist who wrote the riff.
- "It's Over" was written about the suicide of Richard Patrick's friend, and Nine Inch Nails bandmate, Jeff Ward.
- The picture on the back cover of the album is of Howard Dully, one of the youngest people to ever receive a lobotomy.
- The song "Keep Away" by Godsmack shares a very similar guitar riff to that in "Hey Man, Nice Shot" which was written years prior.
- "Hey Man, Nice Shot" is a playable track on Guitar Hero: World Tour.
