Dominic Adiyiah (born July 10, 1989 in Accra) is a Ghanaian footballer, playing for Fredrikstad FK in the Norwegian Premier League.

Club career

Adiyiah began his career in the Feyenoord Academy and played with the team 2006 in the One Touch League.[1] He joined then to Heart of Lions, where he scored eleven goals the previous season and stands in the Ghana Premier League All Star team. [2] He was the 2006–07 Most Valuable Player in the One Touch League.[3] Adiyiah completed his proposed move to Norwegian side Fredrikstad FK, on 6 August 2008, making his debut on August 30, against Aalesunds FK.[4] After impressing in the U-20 World Cup, Adiyiah was later in October 2009 reported to be close to joining Serie A club Milan,[5] a move which was later confirmed by general manager Adriano Galliani on 1 November 2009.[6][7] Medical test have to be first completed in order for his transfer to be finalized.[8]

International career

Since 2008 he has played for the Ghana national under-20 football team[9]. His first game was on 30 March 2008 against the U-20 Niger national football team.[10]. Adiyiah represented the under-20 national team[11], the Black Satellites at 2009 FIFA U-20 World Cup in Egypt[12]. On 16 October 2009 won with the Satellites the 2009 FIFA U-20 World Cup[13], won the Golden Shoe with 8 goals[14] and was the Most Valuable Player of the Tournament[15]. On 03 November 2009 earned his first call up for the Black Stars[16] for an friendly match against Mali national football team on 15 November 2009.
