Richard Arlin Billings (born December 4, 1942 in Detroit, Michigan) was a catcher for the Washington Senators/Texas Rangers (1968-74) and St. Louis Cardinals (1974-75). In 8 seasons he played in 400 Games and had 1,231 At Bats, 101 Runs, 280 Hits, 44 Doubles, 1 Triple, 16 Home Runs, 142 RBI, 6 Stolen Bases, 87 Walks, .227 Batting Average, .281 On-base percentage, .304 Slugging Percentage, 374 Total Bases, 5 Sacrifice Hits, 13 Sacrifice Flies and 8 Intentional Walks. Billings was also a player-manager for the Águilas del Zulia in the Venezuelan Winter League. As a Ranger, Billings caught Jim Bibby's no-hitter on July 30, 1973. [edit] Sources
