[edit] Early Career with Crime Mob 2004-2007

In the summer of 2004, Crime Mob came out with a successful single "Knuck If You Buck" and was a heavily enjoyed hit by urban radio.[4] [1] Diamond represented the presence of one of the two strong female rappers in the group.[1] The second single released by the group featuring solely the two female rappers of the group Diamond and Princess feat.Miss Aishia and was called Stilettos (Pumps). In late 2006, the group released their next single called "Rock Yo Hips", from their album Hated on Mostly. Diamond was largely shown throughout the music video created for the single.

[edit] Solo Career 2008-Present

In November 2007, Diamond left the rap group to pursue her own solo career.[3] She did not want to take the opportunity going solo, feeling bad and feeling like she betrayed the group. She states:

Well basically, it was a decision that was just made. I feel like it’s the best decision to make because the choices and opportunities that was presented in front of me the whole time while I was in the group, I’m able to take that now and not feel bad about it or not feel like I’m being disloyal to the group; or trying to leave the group, or I’m being held back. So now, I’m just in the process of trying to do something different. I got new management, Polo Grounds, Bryan Leach. So, it’s a new situation. It’s definitely gonna better myself as a person and as a solo artist.

[2] She recently released a mixed tape called B***h Muzik, and was surprised by the large response she got from the mixed tape. This has encouraged her even more to pursue her solo career.[2] She and both former group member Princess have stated that she did not leave on bad terms.[2]
