DesiMartini is a social networking site launched in December 2006 focussed on connecting Indians. Its users are primarily from towns and cities across India though it is also has a presence in the USA, UK, Middle East, South East Asia and Scandinavia. Social Networking is one of the fastest growing segments in the Indian Internet space, currently used by over 44% of Internet users in India [1].

It was acquired by Firefly e-Ventures, an HT Media company in November 2007. HT Media also owns the radio channel, Fever 104 FM, and the newspaper brands, Hindustan Times, Hindustan and Mint (newspaper).
