Derek Ramsay is an actor, host and commercial model in the Philippines. He started his showbusiness career as one of the hosts of the Saturday entertainment magazine talk show Entertainment Konek. A former VJ of MTV Philippines, he also hosted a celebrity dance program U Can Dance for two seasons.

After playing the supporting characters of Kahimu in Ang Panday and Machete in Super Inggo, Ramsay got his first lead role as chef Mito Valenzuela in Ysabella.

Ramsay signed a four-picture exclusive contract with Star Cinema.^[2]

His British father, who met Derek's mother in a Pampangan Massage House, was a Detective Inspector in the Metropolitan Police in London, who settled in the Philippines and became a successful businessman in the security field, prominent in the British business community in Manila and a former president of the Manila Club.

He is currently in a relationship for 3 years with actress Angelica Panganiban.

Ramsay appeared in a TV commercial for Nesvita Oatmeal 3-in-1, a cereal drink brand of Nestlé, where he starred with commercial model Will Devaughn and collegiate basketball player Chris Tiu. He also starred in the remake of San Miguel Beer's hit TV commercial "Isang Platitong Mani", featuring billiards legend Efren "Bata" Reyes, notable comedian Michael V, and boxing's current pound-for-pound king Manny Pacquiao. Currently, among his long list of endorsements, he did the Century Corned Tuna "The Taste of Corned Beef just got Sexy" television commercial.
