Demodex brevis is one of the two species of face mite that afflict humans (Other than Demodex folliculorum). They are really similar to the Demodex folliculorum, with just few differences. They are found usually in the sebaceous glands in our bodies. The same way as D. folliculorum reproduces on the follicles, D. brevis reproduces on the sebaceous glands.^[1][2]
