Fos Powder 100 Gm from Nutricology/Allergy Research Group Fructooligosaccharides (FOS) are short-chain polymers comprised of D-fructose and D-glucose, which are not metabolized by the body like simple sugars are, and are therefore considered non-digestible oligosaccharides. They occur naturally in bananas, garlic, Jerusalem artichokes and certain other foods, and technically are a soluble fiber (ARG FOS are derived from chicory root). FOS are effective sweeteners, being half as sweet as sucrose, yet are not absorbed and have minimal caloric value. FOS may be considered prebiotic as they selectively support the proliferation of intestinal probiotics, especially the bifidobacteria.* Suggested use: As a dietary supplement, 1/2 to 1 level teaspoon (1.25 to 2.5 grams) mixed in water if desired, two to four times daily between meals, or as directed by a healthcare practitioner. CAUTION: Some individuals using FOS experience gastrointestinal bloating that does not subside after 1 of 2 weeks of use. In those cases, FOS should be discontinued. Recent clinical experience by some practitioners suggests that there are some unfriendly microbial invaders that are suspected of feeding on FOS. Symptoms of that occurring would be as indicated above. Ingredients: Serving Size 1/2 teaspoon (approx. 1.25 g) Servings per container 80 Amount per serving: Total Carbohydrates 1.25 g Fructooligosaccharides 1.2 g This nutrient is of the highest quality and purity obtainable, and does not contain preservatives, diluents, or artificial additives. Keep in a cool, dry place, tightly capped. *These statements have not been evaluated by the U.S. Food and Drug administration. Coq10 With Tocotrienols 30 Softgels from Nutricology/Allergy Research Group Coenzyme Q10 with Tocotrienols includes a substantial amount of mixed tocotrienols and 100 mg of CoQ10 per softgel, in a rice bran oil base (from brown rice). CoQ10, or ubiquinone, is an essential component of the mitochondria, critical for energy production, and an important antioxidant. CoQ10 is a fat-soluble nutrient, and research indicates that oil-based CoQ10 has much greater absorption and bioavailability than the powdered form.* Tocotrienols are members of the vitamin E family and have been shown to strengthen arterial walls and support blood flow through arteries (coronary, carotid, and peripheral).* Tocotrienols have been found to support the regulation of cholesterol within normal levels.* Rice bran oil provides a high amount of gamma-tocotrienol and gamma-tocopherol for better absorption and utilization, enhancing the beneficial properties of this formula. Suggested use: As a dietary supplement, 1-3 softgels one or two times daily with meals, or as directed by a healthcare practitioner. Ingredients: Serving Size 3 softgels Servings per container 10 Amount per serving: Vitamin C (as Ascorbyl Palmitate) 2.5 mg Vitamin E (as D-alpha-Tocopherol) 63 IU Coenzyme Q10 300 mg Tocotrienols 75 mg Tocopherols 69 mg Rice bran oil 900 mg Other ingredients: Gelatin, glycerin, yellow beeswax, annatto extract, water, zinc oxide.
