DeDe Lind (born Diane Lind on April 15, 1947 in Los Angeles, California) is a glamour model famous for her appearance in Playboy magazine as the Playmate of the Month for August 1967.
[edit] Biography[edit] Early yearsIn 1961, at age 14, Lind was discovered at a local pool in Burbank by photographer Leon Beauchemin. This led to two appearances on the cover of Teen magazine. Small roles on The Donna Reed Show and Leave it to Beaver followed and she did a few television commercials. DeDe married her high school sweetheart, right after she graduated, at the age of 17. The young couple moved to San Diego and DeDe gave birth to a son. The marriage lasted only a year. [edit] PlayboyLind's photographer friend, Leon, talked her into testing for Playboy. At 19, she was selected to be the Playboy Playmate for August 1967. The photography was done by Mario Casilli but the accompaning article made no mention of "Miss August's" marriage or existing offspring. The magazine received a record number of fan mail. Lind received more fan mail than any other Playboy Playmate in history.[1] Lind was no longer in demand as a teen model, although the Playboy appearance did open some doors for her. She modeled for some European magazines but passed up most modelling assignments in order to have more time for herself.[citation needed] [edit] Later careerDeDe remarried in the 1970s and continued her association with Playboy and attended special events and parties, as well as Friday and Sunday night movies at the Playboy Mansion. She appeared in the December, 1979, issue of Playmates Forever and, in the early 1980s, in the first "Playmate Playoffs" special issue. Her video appearances for Playboy included Race Horses and a frontal-nudity appearance on a sailing yacht. She was also the subject for "Playmates Revisted" in the March 1996 issue. She retired in 1985 and moved to Florida with her husband. Three years later, they separated. DeDe began to appear at the Glamourcon shows in 1994, along with Cynthia Myers, Janet Lupo and Debra Jo Fondren. In addition DeDe Lind has a thriving "custom pose photo" business and is open to fufilling all request (except for hardcore photos). Information regarding this can be obtained at her website "Official Website of Playboy Playmate DeDe Lind". http://dedelind.com/. [edit] Filmography
