David Solomona (born 26 January 1978 in Auckland, New Zealand) is a professional rugby league footballer for the Warrington Wolves of Europe's Super League. He is noted for his creativity and is regarded by many[who?] to be one of the best players currently in Super League. He is regularly amongst the top off-loaders in the competition. A truly gifted player he is one of the few genuine World Class players in the British game.[citation needed]

Solomona started his career in Australia with the Sydney City Roosters and Parramatta Eels.

[edit] England

Solomona spent three years at Wakefield Trinity Wildcats where his skills helped keep them in Super League, before moving to the Grattan Stadium.

[edit] Bradford Bulls

He signed for Bradford Bulls on 24 October 2006 for the 2007 season. Solomona is seen as the man to give the Bulls the X Factor.[who?] He's been ever present in 2007.[citation needed]

Solomona was the Bulls only ever present in 2007, making 32 appearances in his first year at the club. Blessed with tremendous ball handling skills he also has the ability to score tries himself and he scored 14 tries in 2007, including a hat trick. Strong and skilful he is undoubtedly the Ace in the Bulls pack when it comes to creating tries.[citation needed]

Solomona missed the first 5 games of 2008 due to injury picked up in pre season.
