David Cox (born 17 March 1989 in Lanark) is a Scottish footballer, capable of playing as a midfielder or a striker. He signed for Annan Athletic in June 2009.

Cox began his career with Kilmarnock and made his debut as a late substitute in their 2–0 SPL victory over Hearts at Tynecastle on 10 May 2008, aged 19.^[1] He left Kilmarnock in January 2009, joining Montrose and whilst he became a favourite with the Montrose support; his contract was cancelled by Steven Tweed three months later following disciplinary problems on the park. On 18 June 2009, Cox signed a two year contract with Annan Athletic.
