David John Conner (born 6 April 1947) is Dean of Windsor (since 1998) and former[1] Bishop to the Forces (2001–2009)[2]

. As Dean of Windsor, he also holds the post of Registrar of the Order of the Garter, and is a Domestic Chaplain to the Queen. Prior to his appointment to Windsor, he held a number of posts:

He was educated at Exeter College, Oxford[3] and St Stephen's House, Oxford. Having also spent a year at the Oxford Department of Education, soon after ordination he moved into School Chaplaincy work in Oxford and, later, at Winchester[4]. For a while, he was Examining Chaplain to the Bishop of Winchester.

For many years he has been closely involved with the selection of candidates for ordination, and with the inspection of theological colleges, courses and schemes. He has been governor of a number of schools and colleges. He is an Honorary Fellow of Girton College, Cambridge.
