David Basheer is a Australian football commentator and presenter on television network SBS. He regularly appears on The World Game Australia's premier football show.

Basheer was born in Adelaide, South Australia and was educated at Prince Alfred College.

David took over as host of The World Game following the departure of former host Andrew Orsatti.

He was formerly a host and commentator with ESPN Star Sports in Asia handling UEFA Champions League and Formula 1.

David also has extensive commentary experience covering major international events including the last 3 Olympic Games, 2 Commonwealth Games, Tour de France, World Championships of Athletics and several Grand Slam Tennis events.
