David Nii Addy (born February 21, 1990 in Prampram) is a footballer for Randers FC and the Ghanaian national football team.

In July 2008, Addy joined SAS Ligaen (Danish league), club Randers FC. He joined his current club from Ghanaian based club All Stars F.C.. He was at All Stars F.C. for just under 3 years, 2005–2008 formerly played for S.C. Adelaide and Inter Allies FC. In addition, he was named young player of the year 2008 in Ghana^[1]. So far at Randers FC, he has been subbed on 1 time, gaining 7 minutes, this appearance was gained on the 19th of October^[2].

His preferred position is left back, however he is quite attack-minded and so can also play left midfield and be pretty reliable. So in a nutshell, he is a reasonably versatile player. Addy is known to be a defender, as hard as a rock. Also he is said to be a great tackler of the ball and he can head the ball very well. Finally, he has been known to strike the ball with power, from a distance.

He was called up for the Black Stars for the game versus Lesotho on 8 June 2008^[3]. His second game was on 2 November 2008 Vs. Niger national football team ^[4]. David Addy has recently been called up to play for the Ghanaian Senior National Football team, he is playing for his country. Also, he was selected for the recent match against South Africa, where he played almost the whole game, but was taken off in the 84th minute.

This player is currently not on the squad, but has made appearances for Ghana and has recently made a substitute appearance for his club.

Addy was also Young Player of the Year 2008 in Ghana^[1].. He was nominated as Defender of the year 2008 in Ghana^[5].
