Dave Larder is an English rugby league player who currently plays in National League One with Halifax RLFC.

Dave is a highly rated second rower who turned down the offer of playing full time rugby in Super League with Leigh Centurions, this was mainly due to his work commitments.

Having turned down the offer of becoming a full time player, Larder joined Halifax RLFC in 2004, instantly becoming a big hit with the fans.

He is the son of Rugby Union defensive coach Phil Larder.

Larder captained Halifax in the 2007 season as his leadership abilities were well documented.

In August 2008 Larder signed a one year extension to his contract at 'Fax.
