Darna is a superhero Philippine drama adapted from Mars Ravelo's fictional superheroine of the same name; directed by Dominic Zapata and developed by Jun Lana.[1] It is the one of the many series that was based on one of the graphic novels made by Mars Ravelo. It stars Marian Rivera as the title role and its alter-ego Narda, with Iwa Moto as her main nemesis Valentina and Mark Anthony Fernandez as Eduardo.[2]

Years after the original Darna had battled the forces of evil, Narda learns that she is the anointed one chosen to save the world from evil forces. Nursing a broken heart, Narda declines because she believes that a simple and crippled woman like her cannot take such a huge responsibility. Her refusal simultaneously triggers the influx of evil forces in the town area, where Darna's rogues are found encased in ice. Narda finally concedes to her fate and accepts her destiny as the new Darna.[3]

  • Marian Rivera as Narda Archangel / Darna, the heroine who was entrusted by the power of the White Stone. Her duty to save the world is always overshadowed by the decisions she makes in her life.
  • Mark Anthony Fernandez as Eduardo Morgan, Narda's love-interest and the subject of Valentina's obsession. His true identity remains uncovered.

  • Iwa Moto as Valentina, the cursed daughter of Consuelo. Like Narda, her destiny was already chosen before her birth. She hides a dark secret: she has snakes for hairs.
  • Paolo Contis as Kobra, a ancient Snake Demon who desires to rule the world, he impregnates three women to beget his heir / Xandro, Kobra's eldest heir. He struggles to keep his humanity while in thirst for female-blood.
  • Nadine Samonte as Roma / Babaeng Impakta, a beautiful woman who has a demon for a twin that is connected to her back. She fell in love with Gabriel, but impregnated by Kobra to give birth to Serpentina.
  • Ehra Madrigal as Armida / Babaeng Lawin, a woman driven by revenge on her brother Mateo. She became as the Babaeng Lawin when Danilo Morgan's father experimented on her after she survived a fatal fall.
  • Francine Prieto as Lucifera / Babaeng Tuod, a tree-witch-demon. She despises the human race because of what is happening to the nature. She became the second being to know Darna's true identity.
  • Maggie Wilson as Lutgarda / Babaeng Linta, a famous actress who secretly preys on girls to gain keep her youth intact.
  • Katrina Halili / Sabrina Man as Serpentina, daughter of Roma to Kobra. Unlike her siblings, she became a full grown child and adult in a year span. As a kid she pays an uncanny friendship with Ding, as an adult, she hides her infatuation for Eduardo.
  • Mura as Impy, the demon twin of Roma, who feeds on human heart. She became an aid for Serpentina.
  • Regine Velasquez
