Darbys Falls is a town with a population of appox. 70 people. Situated 15 km east of Cowra, New South Wales it is a major tourist destination, of the region, with a main street, and a small school.

It is situated on the Lachlan River between the large Wyangala Dam and Cowra, approx. 15 km upstream of Cowra. The topography of the land is rough and hilly, with large boulders from a now extinct volcano approx. 35 million yrs ago.

There is also a wonderful observatory out there just off the main road, open 7 night providing you ring in advance. It has 2 of the largest private telescopes in western NSW.
