This is a Spanish name; the first family name is Ortiz and the second is Maldonado. Danny Josué Ortiz Maldonado (July 26, 1976 — February 29, 2004) was a Guatemalan football goalkeeper who played for the Guatemalan national team and CSD Municipal. Ortiz made his debut for Guatemala in February 2001 against Panama and collected a total of 11 caps. During a 2004 match against CSD Comunicaciones he collided with Mario Rodríguez of the opposing team, suffering a torn pericardium. Ortiz died later at the hospital.
