Daniel Backo (born 13 February 1986 in Canberra, Australian Capital Territory) is an Australian professional rugby league footballer. Son of former international forward Sam Backo, he currently plays for the North Queensland Cowboys in the National Rugby League competition.

While attending Palm Beach Currumbin, Backo played for the Australian Schoolboys team in 2003 and 2004.^[1]
