"Criminally Insane" is a song from thrash metal band Slayer's 1986 album, Reign in Blood. Slayer released this song as a single in 1987, and it was their first song to chart on the UK Singles Chart, peaking at 64.^[1] Also, a remix of Criminally Insane was featured on Slayer's box set album, Soundtrack to the Apocalypse.

"Criminally Insane" is about a man who is jailed in an asylum for homicide. He is attempting to escape, for he has just begun to kill and wishes to do so again.^[2]
