A cricketer is a person who plays the sport of cricket. Official and long-established cricket publications prefer the traditional word "cricketer" over the term "cricket player". A cricketer can also be said as cricket player. Also each cricketer, or cricket player has a certain role in the his or her team. For instance, a player may be a wicketkeeper, or a bowler or batsman.
