Corentine Quiniou (born on May 16, 1982, in Paris) is a French professional car racing driver. Winner of Rallye Aicha des Gazelles, 3 times ( absolut record), in 2006,2007 and 2009, winner of Rallye des Princesses 2005, winner of Classic Endurance Racing 2008, 1st all female ranked and youngest team in Dakar 2006, 3rd of her category at the 24hr Nürburgring in 2009. Corentine’s strength is that she is one of the few champions who managed to achieve victories on Race Tracks, in Raids and in Rallies, both in Europe and Africa. She started racing at age 14 in karting, orienting her career towards endurance, participating in 24 hours of Le Mans and in the French endurance championship. In 2001, she enrolled La filiere in Le Mans, combining racing formula campus with her studies. In 2004, she graduated with a BA in International Business Administration and Communication from the American University of Paris. During her college years she participated in Formula France, rallies and endurance races. She scored her first podium in 2004, finishing 3rd in Rallye des Princesses on an Alfa Romeo Duetto. Concentrating solely on her racing career, Corentine won the 2005 edition of Rallye des Princesses on a Porsche 911, and got herself on other podiums that same year, arriving 2nd in the Rallye Aicha des Gazelles and 3rd in the Rallye Optic 2000 de Tunisie , in T2 Diesel category on a Toyota Land Cruiser. 2006 saw Corentine finish 49th overall in the Dakar on a Toyota Land Cruiser, ranking 1st all female team and 1st youngest team. She also won the Rallye Aicha des Gazelles for the 1st time on the same Toyota. In 2007, she won the Rallye Aicha des Gazelles for the second time, and finished 8th overall of the Transafricaine Classic from Paris to Dakar, winning one stage and the all-female classification. During the same year, she finished 5th of the Classic Endurance Racing in Europe on a Chevron B16. In 2008, she participated in the Le Mans Series and won the Classic Endurance Racing on another Chevron B16, both in P1 ranking and in the drivers’ ranking. She managed a memorable performance at Spa-Francorchamps that led her to the podium. She had to withdraw from this edition of Rallye Aicha des Gazelles after the second stage due to a mechanical problem. She is currently racing the Peugeot 207 THP Spider Cup in Europe. She started 2009 with a victory, she won the Rallye Aicha des Gazelles on Thursday 26th of March. Making Corentine the most victorious participant in this Rallye, winning in 2006,2007 and 2009. She continued her achievements by arriving 3rd of her category in her first attempt at the 24H Nürburgring Nordschleife race on 24th of May. Between her participation in the Classic endurance Racing, Corentine joined the first edition of the Gstaad Classic Rally on a Jaguar xk150 from 1959. [edit] External links
