Clay Marzo is a professional surfer and is sponsored by Quiksilver.^[1] He uses an unorthodox stance when he surfs. He was born and lives on the west end of Maui. In December of 2007 Marzo was diagnosed with Asperger syndrome.^[2]. In August of 2008, Marzo's story was featured in a short documentary surf film titled "Clay Marzo: Just Add Water"^[3] Clay is a member of the Young Guns crew and is featured in Young Guns II and Young Guns III Along with other notable surfers Dane Reynolds and Adam Durrant. Furthermore he can be seen in "Stranger than Fiction". He will also be featured in the surf film Today Tomorrow. His accomplishments include Nominee for Manuever of the Year at the 2007 Surfer Poll Awards, Water Man of the Year 2006, Young Guns 3 , 2005 NSSA Open Mens National Champion, Young Guns 2. He also scored Perfect 10's 1st in NSSA History, 2005 Camp Hobgood "King of the Camp," 2005 Quicksilver "Young Guns" video part, NSSA 2004 Open Hr. Champion and Explorer Boys Champion, ISA World Jr. in South Africa 5th place, USSF Championship 1st boys 2003. In 2009 he was featured in an episode of Espn's E:60.
