The Clarence Football Club (CFC), nicknamed The Roos, is an Australian rules football club playing in the Tasmanian State League, based in Bellerive, Tasmania. Before 1884, they existed as Bellerive Football Club. The Clarence Roos play their home games at Bellerive Oval, which is Hobart's Test Cricket ground. They share it with Tasmania's cricket team, the Tasmanian Tigers. They joined the Tasmanian Football League (TFL) in 1947 from the Southern District Football Association and participated in the League until it was disbanded in December 2000.

[edit] ControversiesIt was reported in the media that Clarence Football Club player Tim Orchard deliberately exposed his genitals during a post-match dressing room interview, which was broadcast live on TV in June 2009. AFL Tasmania investigated this incident, and Orchard was charged with 'behaviour detrimental to the image of the game' and was suspended by the club for the remainder of the 2009 Season.[1] [edit] References[edit] External links
