Chris Heighington (born 14 January 1982 in Camden, Sydney) is an Australian professional rugby league player for the Wests Tigers in the National Rugby League (NRL) competition. His position of choice is at lock.

[edit] Playing career

A Umina Bunnies junior, Heighington is a member of the Tigers' 2005 Premiership winning team in their 30–16 win over the North Queensland Cowboys. He won the award for Wests Tigers' Player of the Year for 2008.[1]

Heighington was selected to play in the 2008 Country Origin side as well as the 2008 Prime Minister's XIII team which visited Papua New Guinea.[2]

While originally not selected, he was selected for Country in the City vs Country match on 8 May 2009, due to injury to another player. Heighington was called into the 2009 Prime Minister's XIII for the injured Luke Lewis to play against Papua New Guinea.[3]
