Chris Hayes (born August 24, 1946, Rouyn, Quebec) was a professional ice hockey player who played left wing shooting left.

Hayes spent three years playing junior hockey for Oshawa 1965-68. He left hockey for two years, but returned in the 1970-71 season to play for Loyola University. He then turned pro playing in four pro leagues for five different teams in four year span. The highlight for Chris Hayes came during the 1971-72 season while playing for Oklahoma City Blazers(AHL). Hayes was called due to injuries to play for the Boston Bruins. He played one game in the finals on a line with Phil Esposito. Hayes never played in the NHL again. Hayes became only the second player in history to play his only NHL game in the Stanley Cup finals for a Stanley Cup winning team (See Doug McKay). Hayes's name was not engraved on the cup (as he was not regular member of the Boston Bruins), even though he qualfied. However, Hayes is credited by the NHL as winning one Stanley Cup in 1972.
