The Chilliwack Chiefs were a Tier II Junior "A" ice hockey team from Chilliwack, British Columbia, Canada. They were a part of the British Columbia Hockey League and played in the Mainland Division/Coastal Conference. Following the expansion of the Western Hockey League into Chilliwack with the Chilliwack Bruins, the Chiefs moved to Langley, British Columbia, where they became the Langley Chiefs.

Chilliwack fans have always enjoyed their junior hockey, which dates back to 1970, as the Chilliwack Bruins were the main event. The Bruins made it back to the league finals in 1973 and saw them lose to the Penticton Broncos, 4 games to 3, despite taking a 3-1 lead in the series. They were eliminated in the first round of the BCJHL playoffs in each of their final three seasons in the league. That was the highlights for Bruins team, as they folded after the 1976 playoffs.

Two years would go by before junior "A" hockey returned to the City of Chilliwack as the Chilliwack Colts joined the BCJHL in 1978. They would only entertain the fans for 2 1/2 years as they also folded, part way through the 1980-81 season, recording only 1 win in 35 tries. Their only playoff appearance was in their second season, 1979-80, when they were defeated four games to three in the first round by the Nanaimo Clippers.

The Chilliwack Eagles spent two seasons in the BCJHL beginning in 1987. The team did not qualify for the playoffs in either season so they moved to Ladner in 1989 to become the Ladner Penguins.

The Chilliwack Chiefs were acquired from Richmond in 1990, where they were known as the Richmond Sockeyes. As the Sockeyes, the team won the League, Mowat Cup, Doyle Cup and Centennial Cup in 1987.

The Chiefs relocated to Langley for the start of the 2006-07 BCHL season. Chilliwack acquired a WHL franchise known as the Chilliwack Bruins, forcing the Chiefs to look for a new home.
