Cheorwon County (Cheorwon-gun), also spelt Cholwon, is a county in Gangwon Province, South Korea. It is located right next to the border with North Korea.

[edit] LocationCheorwon was an important spot travelling to everywhere especially from Seoul to Wonsan and Kumgangsan. The 43 National Road beginning from Seoul has been extended into a four-lane road, so traffic flows much better than it used to.[2] [edit] WeatherDuring the winter, Cheorwon is one of the coldest areas in South Korea.
