Charles Edward Barnes (born October 5, 1939 in Eudora, Arkansas) is a former football end in the American Football League for the Dallas Texans. He played college football at the University of Arkansas and University of Louisiana at Monroe. Charlie was drafted in the eighth round of the 1961 NFL Draft by the Washington Redskins. Barnes was also selected in the nineteenth round of the 1961 AFL Draft by the Buffalo Bills.

Before his death, Charlie was married to the former Ms. Mary Constance Quinn. Charlie and Mary has two boys, Todd and Erik. Todd is a police detective for the Daytona Beach Police Department. Erik is in sales with IBM Corporation. Since Charlie's death, Mary has lived in Port Orange, Florida near her son Todd's three children; Kayla, Kendall and Jarrett. Todd is married to the former Ms. Traci Westberry. Erik resides in Orlando, Florida with his three children; Avery, Ansley and Addisyn. Erik is married to the former Ms. Kerri Jean Seddon.
