Charles-Noe Abouo (born April 11, 1989) is a 6 ft 5 in, 210 lbs. guard-forward originally from Cote d'Ivoire who currently plays for Brigham Young University and the Cote d'Ivoire national basketball team.[1] Abouo attended Logan High School in Utah where he was the school's all-time leading scorer.[2] He was a three-time all-state player and was named Utah Class 3A Player of the Year following his senior season.[3] Upon graduation, Abouo spent a year playing for Brewster Academy in Wolfeboro, New Hampshire, where he helped the team to the New England Preparatory School Athletic Conference Class A Championship.[3] Abouo then moved back to Utah and signed with Brigham Young University following his year in prep school.[3] During his freshman season, he averaged 2.9 points per game and 1.9 rebounds per game off the bench for the Mountain West Conference champions.[4] Abouo was a member of the Cote d'Ivoire national basketball team at the 2009 FIBA Africa Championship.[5] At the tournament, he helped the team to a surprise silver medal to qualify for the country's first FIBA World Championship in 24 years by averaging 5.2 PPG and 2.2 RPG.[6] [edit] References
