Chabad on Campus International Foundation is the college wing of the Chabad Lubavitch movement. It has branches on over 130 North American campuses, and serves an additional 200+ campuses globally.[1]
The Chabad on Campus International Foundation assists local Chabad Student Centers worldwide. This includes logistical support and staff training, as well as centralized programming such as national Shabbatons and student leadership retreats. The Foundation provides grants to encourage creative local programming.
[edit] History
The first Chabad House was started on the UCLA campus in 1969.[citation needed] More recently the Foundation has gained George and Pamela Rohr as benefactors. Since 2001 the Chabad campus presence has tripled (78 new centers).[citation needed]
