Cerapachyinae is a subfamily of ants of the Formicidae family. They are sometimes classified as a tribe of the Ponerinae subfamily. They possess spines on the pygidium and short, thick antennae. They lack dorsal thoracic structures. They are predators of other ant species. There are about 200 species, distributed throughout the tropics.
