Catherine of Valois (1378-1388) was the youngest child of Charles V of France and Joanna of Bourbon. She was a sibling of Charles VI of France and Louis of Valois, Duke of Orléans.

Catherine was born in Paris, her mother suffered from insanity and died giving birth to Catherine. Her father was deeply upset with the loss of his wife and never remarried.

Catherine was married to the infant John of Berry when she was only eight years old in 1386, they had no children because of the couples young age. Catherine died in 1388, she and many other of her siblings had died in childhood. Her brother, Charles succeeded to the throne of France in 1380, Catherine was only two years old at the time. During his reign, Charles suffered from insanity that he had inherited from his mother, Joanna.

Catherine was the paternal aunte of Isabella of Valois, Michelle of Valois, a later Catherine of Valois and Charles VII of France. Isabella and Catherine were both Queen of England, Isabella was married to Richard II of England and Catherine was married to Henry V of England. Michelle was Duchess of Burgundy by her marriage to Philip III, Duke of Burgundy and Charles VII became King of France.
