This category (a subcategory of CAT:CSD) tracks pages that have been nominated for speedy deletion under CSD F5; as they are images used under a fair use claim which have been rescaled to a more appropriate size. The original versions of such images have been tagged for more than 7 days and are subject to deletion. To list pages in this category, tag them with the template {{non-free reduced}}. If there is any doubt about the suitability of a page for speedy deletion, consider sending it to XfD instead.

Do not delete all revisions, only the ones that do not comply with WP:NFCC 3(b). The images are in use.

[edit] Instructions

1. Determine what revisions do not comply with WP:NFCC. Some general rules of thumb:
   • Raster images should generally be around 0.1 megapixels.
   • The largest dimension should be at most around 300-400px.
   • The resolution should approximately fit the intended use in the article.
   • Most importantly, use your best judgment, as there are few clear-cut cases.
2. If no revisions appear to fit the criteria, consider relisting it for rescaling by replacing {{non-free reduced}} with {{non-free reduce}} on the image description page.
3. For each non-complying revision, click 'del' next to the revision.
4. Remove the {{non-free reduced}} template from the image description page.

[edit] Delresized script

A user script has been developed to make deleting these much easier. To use it, add the following to your monobook.js page (if you are using Wikipedia Beta, instead put it at your vector.js page).

After you bypass your browser's cache (see WP:BYC for instructions), a "rescaled" tab should appear on all image pages. Clicking this tab deletes all non-current revisions of the image and removes the "rescaled" tag from the description page. Note that the script isn't very advanced... there are no visual indicators for what is being deleted, and to edit the script goes to the actual edit page before reloading. It also has no built-in confirmation mechanism... clicking the tab by accident will still run the script. However, it does greatly speed up the process. The script works on both Firefox and Internet Explorer (other browsers have not been tested). Linky can make it even faster for Firefox users, allowing you to open up to 99 of the pages in the category at once as separate tabs so that you can click through them faster.
