This is a category of people who at some point in their lives were actors and also at some point in their lives were politicians. Persons included here should meet Wikipedia notability criteria both as actors and as politicians independently - eg Clint Eastwood, as mayor of a small community, does not qualify. For an actor to be included in this category, he/she should normally have been elected at a state or national level. Politicians who are professionally known for being politicians and have only played themselves in film and television shows (such as John McCain and Al Sharpton) and thus are not professionally known as actors should not be included.
