Canadian University College is a private Christian coeducational university located in Lacombe, Alberta. It is affiliated with the Seventh-day Adventist Church. Canadian University College is part of the Seventh-day Adventist system of higher education. Although a significant number of students come from an Seventh-day Adventist background, all students who are interested in living and studying in a Christian context are welcome to apply. The College is a degree-granting institution and teacher's college in Lacombe, Alberta. It offers more than twenty fully-accredited undergraduate degree, diploma, and certificate programs. The college has an enrolment of about 400, with a student-to-teacher ratio of eight to one. [1]
[edit] HistoryCanadian University College traces its roots to the first Seventh-day Adventist secondary school in Alberta, established in 1907 in Leduc. The Lacombe site for the College was chosen in 1909. It is affiliated with the Association of Theological Schools. [2] [edit] ProgramsCanadian University College is authorized by the Government of Alberta to offer accredited degrees pursuant to the Universities Act of Alberta: Bachelor of Arts (3 & 4 years), Bachelor of Education, Bachelor of Business Administration (4 year), Bachelor of Science (3&4 year), diploma (2 year), Marital & Family therapy program. The programs are offered in the Division of Arts; Division of Science; School of Business; and School of Education.
