Can Arat (born January 21, 1984 in Merdivenköy, Istanbul) is a defender playing for the Turkish Premier Super League club İstanbul Büyükşehir Belediyespor. He is 1.90 meters tall and weighs 82 kilograms.
[edit] Club careerHe played 74 times for Fenerbahçe PAF and scored 2 goals. He became a regular in the squad after Fábio Luciano was injured in 2006-07 season start but he lost his place 4 weeks into the 2006-07 season to new transfers Diego Lugano and Edu Dracena. In summer 2009, Arat joined İstanbul Büyükşehir Belediyespor.[1][2] [edit] International careerCan Arat has been called up to the Turkish national football team for the Euro 2008 qualifying group matches. He made his international debut for senior team on 12 April 2006 against Azerbaijan national football team.
